Almighty God,
We know that the new year will bring times of laughter and tears.
There will be mountaintop moments of wonderful blessings
And times of doubt and sorrow in the deepest of valleys.
But Lord, we trust in your faithfulness.
We face the year in confidence because we know you have us in the palm of your hand and you will not let us go.
Lord, because you are great, loving and gracious we dare to pray that the coming year may be one of:
Greater love,
Stronger peace,
Transforming hope,
And restoring forgiveness.
May the light of your presence bring change this year.

We are a family-friendly, Bible based church of about 40 adults and children.
East Oldham Methodist Church is committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with everyone in this community, because we believe the message of God’s unconditional love and the transformation he can bring to our lives needs to be offered to everyone.
We invite you to find a home in our church, a place of welcome, a place of support, and an opportunity to question and be challenged. But most especially we hope you find here the same Jesus we have found and come to know and to love.
As a church we are involved in activities both within our building and in the wider community, sharing with others in making our town a better place. Our church has disabled friendly access from street level or our car park via a ramp, and we have an hearing aid loop for people with hearing difficulties.
